This policy explains what you pay, how your plan renews, how to cancel, and when you can get your money back. Please read the Key terms first.

WellPeps, a Wyoming corporation (“WellPeps,” “we” or “us”), is not a medical practice or a pharmacy. Independent licensed clinicians provide your medical care. State-licensed pharmacies prepare and ship your medication. This policy covers what you pay through checkout and how we handle your payments.

1. Key terms

Question

Answer

What do I pay?

One monthly price for the treatment plan you choose. You see it before you pay, on our site and again at checkout. It covers the online health questions, your clinician’s review, follow-up care, your medication (if prescribed), messaging with your care team, education and standard shipping. There is no setup fee and no cancellation fee. Lab tests, if your clinician recommends them, are billed separately. Tax is added where the law requires it.

Do I pay to answer the online health questions?

No. The online health questions are an automated questionnaire, and you do not need a card to answer them. Your clinician’s review is included in your monthly price, with your follow-up care and your medication if prescribed. A prescription is not guaranteed.

When am I first charged?

Only after your clinician prescribes treatment. You answer the health questions first and a clinician reviews them. If the clinician prescribes, you check out and pay for your first month. If your clinician does not prescribe, you never pay.

How often am I charged?

Every month.

When does it renew?

Automatically, on the same calendar day of the month as your first charge (the day you check out after your clinician prescribes), until you cancel. We charge the card you used at checkout.

Is there a minimum commitment?

No. Each month stands on its own.

How do I cancel?

Any time, in your patient portal at portal.wellpeps.com, by email to [email protected] or by phone at (307) 881-8700 during normal business hours. We confirm in writing within 1 business day. You do not need to give a reason.

What is the deadline?

Cancel at least 72 hours before your next charge date to be sure you are not charged. If you cancel later, we still stop all future charges. If we have not made the charge yet when we receive your request, we will not make it. If we already made it, we refund it if the pharmacy has not started preparing your medication (Section 4.3).

What does “the pharmacy has started preparing your medication” mean?

The pharmacy that fills your prescription has recorded that it began preparing, compounding, filling or dispensing your own prescription. The pharmacy only receiving, routing or accepting your prescription electronically does not count. This is the point after which a charge generally cannot be refunded (Section 5.8).

What is the refund rule?

If your clinician does not prescribe, you are not charged (Section 2.4). Refunds apply to a month your clinician does not renew, pharmacy errors, lost, damaged or heat-exposed shipments, long delays, charges made after you cancel and billing errors (Sections 5.1 to 5.7). Medication that was prepared and shipped correctly cannot be returned or refunded (Section 5.8).

Who charges my card?

WellPeps, through our checkout. Your statement shows WellPeps.

2. The health assessment

2.1 What you pay

The online health questions are an automated questionnaire. You do not need a card to answer them. Your clinician’s review is included in your monthly price, along with your follow-up care, your medication if prescribed, messaging with your care team, education and standard shipping. There is no separate fee for the review. You are charged only if your clinician prescribes treatment (Section 2.4).

2.2 How it works

  1. Choose a treatment and answer health questions in the patient portal. You do not pay anything at this step.
  2. An independent licensed clinician reviews your answers. This is usually done online. The clinician may ask you for more information.
  3. If the clinician prescribes, you check out. Before you enter your card, you see the monthly price and the renewal terms. You pay for your first month, and the prescription goes to a state-licensed pharmacy that prepares and ships your medication.
  4. If the clinician does not prescribe, you never pay.

2.3 A prescription is not guaranteed

Answering the health questions does not guarantee a prescription. A licensed clinician decides whether treatment is medically appropriate for you. WellPeps does not make that decision and cannot change it.

2.4 When your card is charged

You pay for the first time when you check out, and checkout is offered only after your clinician prescribes treatment. If your clinician does not prescribe, or cannot finish the review, you never pay. Each later monthly charge falls on the same calendar day of the month as your first payment (Section 3.1).

3. Automatic renewal

3.1
Your plan renews every month. You check out after your clinician prescribes treatment. At checkout you agree to the renewal terms and pay for your first month, and your plan starts that day. It then renews automatically every month until you cancel. Each month we charge the card you used at checkout the monthly price you saw at checkout, or a new price only if you agreed to it under Section 6. We charge on the same calendar day of the month as your first charge. If a month has no such day, we charge on the last day of that month.
3.2
No minimum commitment. You can cancel at any time. There is no cancellation fee.
3.3
Your consent. Before you enter your card, we show you the renewal terms in plain words and ask you to check a box that says you agree. The box is not checked for you. It is separate from the other boxes you check, such as your agreement to the Patient Terms of Service and Payment Agreement and your consents to telehealth care. If you do not check it, we do not take your card or start your plan.
3.4
What we send you. We send you:
  • Right after checkout: a receipt and an email with the renewal terms, the price, the date of your next charge and how to cancel.
  • After each later charge: a receipt.
  • At least 7 days before each renewal: a reminder with the date, the amount, the cancellation deadline and how to cancel.
  • At least once every 12 months while your plan is active: a reminder of the same details. (A reminder before each renewal counts.)
  • At least 30 days before any higher price could start: a notice that asks for your agreement (Section 6.2).
3.5
Your consent record. We keep a record of what you agreed to: the words we showed you and the date and time you agreed. We keep it for at least 3 years, or for 1 year after your plan ends if that is longer. You can ask us for a copy.
3.6
Renewals depend on your clinician. Your clinician decides whether to renew your prescription. If we charge you for a renewal and your clinician does not renew your prescription, we refund that charge in full (Section 5.1).

4. How to cancel

4.1 Ways to cancel

  • In your patient portal: sign in at portal.wellpeps.com and send us a message that says you want to cancel.
  • By email: write to [email protected] from the email address on your account and say you want to cancel.
  • By phone: (307) 881-8700, during normal business hours

You do not need to call anyone, talk to a chatbot, give a reason or enter your card again. We may ask one question to confirm it is you. We will not make cancelling harder than signing up.

4.2 We confirm in writing

We confirm your cancellation by email within 1 business day. The email shows when we received your request, when your plan ends and whether any more charge will be made. Your request counts from the time we receive it. If you do not get the email within 1 business day, contact us. Keep the email.

4.3 The cancellation deadline

To be sure you are not charged for your next month, cancel at least 72 hours before your next charge date. Your reminder email shows that date.

You can still cancel after the deadline, and we will still stop all future charges. If you cancel less than 72 hours before your next charge date:

  • If we have not made the charge yet when we receive your request, we will not make it. If we make it anyway, we refund it in full (Section 5.6).
  • If we already made the charge and the pharmacy has not started preparing your medication, we cancel that order and refund the charge in full.
  • If we already made the charge and the pharmacy has already started preparing your medication, the charge is not refundable and your order will ship. We will not charge you again.

4.4 What happens after you cancel

  • If you cancel before you check out, we close your order. You have not paid anything.
  • You will not be charged again after we receive your cancellation request, except a charge we already made before then (Section 4.3). If we charge you after we receive your request, we refund that charge in full (Section 5.6).
  • Your plan stays active through the month you have already paid for. You can keep messaging your clinician in the patient portal through the end of that month.
  • Medication that the pharmacy has already started preparing for that month cannot be refunded, except as stated in Section 5.
  • Talk to your clinician before you stop a prescribed medicine. Your clinician can tell you how to stop safely and what other options you have.

4.5 Restarting

You are welcome back at any time. Sign in to the patient portal or message us. A clinician will review your current health information before treatment starts again, and you will see the price and renewal terms again at checkout. We do not offer a pause.

4.6 If we end your plan

We may end your plan if your clinician stops treatment, you move to a state we do not serve, a payment fails (Section 7), you give false information, or you misuse the service or the medication. We will tell you in writing. If we end your plan for a reason that is not your fault, for example we stop offering a treatment or your state is no longer served, we refund any charge for a month in which you did not receive what you paid for. If we end it because you gave false information or misused the service, Section 5.8 applies.

5. Refunds

5.1
If your clinician does not prescribe or renew. If your clinician decides not to prescribe treatment, you are not charged. The same applies if your clinician cannot finish the review because you did not send information they asked for within 14 days (we send you a reminder before we close the review). If your clinician does not renew your prescription for a month we have already charged, we refund that charge in full, including any tax. You do not need to ask. A routing, system or pharmacy error does not take away this refund. We start the refund within 2 business days after the decision.
5.2
You change your mind before the pharmacy starts. If the pharmacy has not started preparing your medication, you can cancel the order and we refund the charge in full. Ask as soon as you can (Section 5.10).
5.3
Pharmacy error. If you receive the wrong medication, strength or amount, do not use it. Contact the pharmacy named on the label and [email protected] right away. The pharmacy will confirm the error. If your clinician agrees a corrected order is right for you, the pharmacy sends it at no charge. If a corrected order cannot be sent, or you prefer, we refund that month’s charge.
5.4
Lost, damaged or heat-exposed shipment. Check your package as soon as it arrives. If anything is missing, damaged, leaking, incorrect or otherwise unusable, or a seal is broken, do not use the medication. Contact the pharmacy and [email protected] within 7 days after delivery. If you think the medication was exposed to heat or the packaging failed, tell us as soon as you can and before you use it. If a package does not arrive, contact us within 7 days after the expected delivery date. Send photos of the product, the label, the packaging and the shipping box if you can. Reporting after 7 days does not take away your rights for a problem you could not reasonably have found sooner, or any right the law does not let you give up. The pharmacy decides whether the product is safe to use, and your clinician confirms that a replacement is appropriate. We send a replacement at no charge or, if a replacement cannot be sent, refund that month’s charge. See the Shipping and Delivery Policy for what to check when your package arrives.
5.5
Backorders and shortages. If a medication is on backorder or the pharmacy cannot fill your order, we tell you. You can wait, ask your clinician whether another option is right for you (your clinician decides), or cancel and receive a full refund of the order that was not filled. If your order has not shipped within 14 days after we charged you, you can cancel it and receive a full refund.
5.6
Charge made after you cancel. Your cancellation counts from the time we receive it. If we charge you after that, we refund that charge in full. You do not need to ask.
5.7
Duplicate or incorrect charge. If we charge you twice, charge the wrong amount or make any other billing error, we correct the error and refund any amount you did not owe.
5.8
When we cannot refund. We cannot refund a charge in these cases, unless the law says otherwise:
  • The pharmacy has already started preparing your medication, the medication was prepared and shipped as ordered, and nothing in Sections 5.3 to 5.7 applies. This includes a change of mind, side effects, a dose change or not getting the result you hoped for.
  • You want to return the medication. Compounded medication generally cannot be returned, restocked or sent out again once it has shipped.
  • Delivery failed because the address you gave was wrong or incomplete, you refused the package, or you did not collect it after repeated attempts.
  • The package was delivered as expected and later stored or left out in a way that does not follow your label.
  • Lab tests, which are billed separately through WellPeps and follow our lab partner’s rules.
  • We closed your account because you gave false health or identity information or misused the service, as to medication already prepared.

Nothing in this policy limits a refund right you have under state or federal law that cannot be waived.

5.9
How and when we pay refunds. We refund to the card you used at checkout. We start the refund within 2 business days after we approve it. It usually appears on your statement within several business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. We email you when the refund is issued. If your card has been closed, contact us and we will find another way to pay you.
5.10
How to ask for a refund. Email [email protected] or send a message in your patient portal. Tell us your name, the email on your account, the charge date and what happened. We reply within 1 business day. You do not need to use special words.

6. Price changes and promotional pricing

6.1
Your monthly price. Your price is the price you saw at checkout. If your clinician prescribes a different medication, form, strength or dose that has a different price, we show you the new price and ask for your agreement before we charge any different amount. You can say no, and you will not be charged the different amount.
6.2
If the price goes up. We will not charge you a higher monthly price, or change how often we charge you, unless you agree to it first. We tell you in writing at least 30 days before the date a higher price would start. The notice is sent by email and shown in your patient portal. It states your current price, the new price, the date it would start, how to agree and how to cancel. If you agree, the new price applies only to renewals on or after that date. If you do not agree before that date, we will not charge the higher price. Your plan then ends at the end of the month you have already paid for, and we tell you in writing. You can restart at any time (Section 4.5).
6.3
Promotional prices. We do not offer introductory prices or free trials today. If we ever do, checkout will show the promotional price, how long it lasts, the regular price that follows and the date it starts. If you agreed at checkout to both the promotional price and the regular price that follows, the change to the regular price does not need your agreement again. We will email you between 3 and 21 days before a promotional price ends. The word “free” is not used for the clinician’s review. It may describe only the automated online health questions, and only with a statement beside it that the review and treatment are part of the monthly price.
6.4
Labs and tax. Lab tests are never part of your monthly price. When your clinician recommends labs, the lab fee is shown and billed separately. Tax is added where the law requires it.

7. Failed payments

  • If a charge fails, we email you. You can update your card in the patient portal.
  • We may try the charge again up to 3 attempts over 10 days. We do not charge a late fee.
  • We do not send a new order to the pharmacy until the payment goes through.
  • If the payment is still unpaid after 10 days, we cancel your plan and tell you in writing. You can restart at any time (Section 4.5).
  • A failed payment never takes back medication that has already been shipped to you. If you have a medical concern, contact your clinician, or call 911 in an emergency.

8. Chargebacks and billing disputes

8.1
Please contact us first. If you think a charge is wrong, email [email protected]. We can often fix it faster than your bank can, and we will tell you what we find within 1 business day.
8.2
Your rights stay yours. You can always dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer. Nothing in this policy takes that right away.
8.3
What we share. If you dispute a charge, we send your card issuer the records it needs: the order, your agreement to the renewal terms, the charge and delivery details. We do not send your health information except where the law allows.
8.4
Disputes we have already refunded. If you dispute a charge that we already refunded or that this policy allows, we may pause new orders until the dispute is resolved. We may close an account after repeated disputes of charges that were correct.

9. Your rights under state law

Some states give extra protection for plans that renew automatically. If a law of your state gives you more than this policy, we follow that law for you.

The law behind this policy. A federal law called ROSCA and many state laws apply to plans that renew automatically. WellPeps follows ROSCA and the automatic-renewal laws of the state where you live.
