Part 1. AI Use Disclosure (public page)

Effective date: October 6, 2026 | Last updated: October 6, 2026 | Version: 1.0

1. The short version

  • The only AI tool WellPeps runs today is the WellPeps assistant on wellpeps.com. It is the “Ask WellPeps” chat window.
  • The assistant answers questions about WellPeps and general health topics using our own articles and program pages. It does not give medical advice.
  • It works inside your web browser. What you type is not sent to an AI company and is not saved.
  • Licensed clinicians, not software, decide whether you get treatment.
  • To reach a person, email [email protected].
  • AI is not used in clinical care (section 6).

2. Who we are

WellPeps, a Wyoming corporation (“WellPeps”), is not a medical practice. It does not diagnose, prescribe or treat. Your clinical care is provided by independent licensed clinicians of OSI Medical Services, P.A. (the “Practice”). This page explains how WellPeps uses AI on its website and what you should know about AI in the platform that supports your care.

By “AI” we mean software that interprets your words or your information and produces an answer, a piece of writing or a prediction.

3. The WellPeps assistant

3.1 What it is

The assistant is software, not a person. When you ask a question, it finds the closest match among pre-written answers taken from our articles, FAQs and program pages, and shows you the answer with links to its sources. It does this with simple word matching that runs on your own device. It does not write new answers using a generative AI model, and it does not send your question to an outside AI service.

3.2 What it does

  • Answers questions about our programs, pricing, the assessment, shipping, privacy and how our care works.
  • Shows where an answer came from, with a link to the article or page when there is one.
  • Points you to a person or a clinician when it cannot help.

3.3 What it does not do

  • It does not give medical advice, diagnose you, suggest a medicine or dose, or say whether a treatment is safe for you.
  • It does not decide whether you can get treatment. A clinician decides, and a prescription is not guaranteed.
  • It cannot see your account, orders, records or patient portal.
  • It cannot respond to emergencies.
  • It is not a person, a doctor, a nurse or any other licensed professional, and it will not say it is.

3.4 It can be wrong

Its answers come from our content, which may be out of date or incomplete. Check the linked source. For anything about your health or your treatment, ask a clinician.

3.5 Built-in safety checks

If your words suggest an emergency, the assistant shows an emergency message. If you ask a clinical question, such as what dose to take or whether a medicine is safe for you, it will not answer and will point you to a clinician. These checks look for key words and can miss things. Do not rely on them in an emergency.

4. Your information and the assistant

  • What you type stays in your browser. It is not sent to our servers or to any AI company, and we do not save it. When you close or refresh the page, the chat is gone.
  • Please do not type your name, health details, medicines, account numbers or other personal information. The assistant does not need them.
  • Retention. We keep none of what you type into the assistant. Because your questions are not sent to anyone, no AI model is trained on them.
  • Ordinary website records. Visiting wellpeps.com creates normal records, such as your IP address, the pages you view and your device type. We describe them in the Privacy Policy and, for health-related pages, the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. Those records do not include what you type into the assistant.
  • If this changes, we will update this page and the notice at the top of the chat window before the change takes effect.

5. If you need a person

  • Email [email protected]. Support hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time. We aim to reply within 1 business day.
  • Phone: (307) 881-8700, during normal business hours
  • Medical questions. If you are a WellPeps patient, message your care team in the patient portal at portal.wellpeps.com. WellPeps support staff cannot give medical advice.
  • Emergencies. Call 911.

The assistant cannot connect you to a person inside the chat. It will show you these options.

6. AI in your care

AI is not used in clinical care. No AI tool at WellPeps makes decisions about your care. Your clinicians decide whether you receive treatment and what you receive. Your clinician does not use AI to write notes about your visits, to answer questions about your chart, or to write messages to you. If that changes, we will update this page before the change takes effect.

Some states have additional rules about AI, and we follow the law that applies to you.

7. Your choices

  • You do not need to use the assistant to buy anything or to get care. Closing the chat window ends the chat.
  • You can ask for a person at any time (section 5).
  • You can ask the Practice about AI in your care, or ask a person to review something you are unhappy with, by sending a message in the portal at portal.wellpeps.com.
  • If information about you is wrong, you can ask for a correction as the Notice of Privacy Practices explains.
  • If you have a concern about this page or the assistant, email [email protected].

8. How WellPeps oversees AI

  • Before WellPeps starts using a new AI tool, the WellPeps Compliance Officer reviews what information it uses, who receives it, how it can fail and whether the law requires a notice.
  • No AI vendor receives patient information unless the written agreement the law requires is in place, and that agreement does not let the vendor use the information to train its own models.
  • The assistant answers only from content we have reviewed. We review changes to that content before they go live.
  • We test the emergency and clinical-question responses whenever we change the assistant.
  • Staff may not enter patient information into AI tools we have not approved.
  • We keep a record of changes and review this page at least once a year and whenever our use of AI changes.

9. Changes

We update this page when our use of AI or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. We will update this page, and the notice in the chat window, before a change takes effect.

Off unless you turn it on. Lets advertising companies measure our ads and show ads. Under some state laws this counts as a sale or sharing of personal information. On pages about health topics it runs only if you separately allow that.
